Divergente is seeking a Global Due Diligence Legal Compliance Analyst to coordinate the collection and review of legal documents related to corporations and individuals in Europe, Asia and Africa and help establish and liaise with a network of legal experts in each venue to aid in the analysis of legal and reputational risk for Western companies partnering with foreign parties.
The role requires working, on a day-to-day basis, with the senior investigative staff at Divergente Research, and with a network of approximately 100 investigative journalists, legal and other subject-matter experts, among other sources.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Legal Studies, Law or related field (JD or international equivalent preferred)
- 2 years of International Law experience as an attorney, paralegal or law clerk
- Experience must include collection of public documents in venues outside of the United States
- Prior legal experience in Europe (particularly in more challenging venues) and/or in West Africa, or experience working with an international court, such as the International Criminal Court (ICC), the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) or the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
